Hard-driving pop on the verge of ska at some parts. This 4-piece band incorporates 2 guitars into their music, one of which has a very high pitch to it which adds most of the melody in the background. The lyrics are personal thoughts of the singer who's voice sometimes seems like it does not go along with the music, but at other times sounds great with the music being played. The band knows just the right times to use backing vocals. This is a very good tape for a band as young as Course of Ruin.
