 Another biting collection of spoken word social commentary from the punk rock icon JELLO BIAFRA. His humor and wit on this triple disc set is sharper than on any of his previous spoken word releases. He still borders on the paranoid at times and deconstructs the mundane into such that it appears to be a sign of the end of the world BUT one can hardly argue the validity of doing so (at times) when the 'powers that be' desperately try to make their horrific abuses of power appear to BE the mundane. Jello attacks the media, the president, pop culture, and the dumbing down of America. He spits venom in such a way that it will blind the naive and outrage the jaded. If Jello's view of the world is accurate we are doomed, but if his views are a warning of what is around the corner then maybe there is hope. If we all can see the duplicity of social programming from the top down (as Jello does) then maybe we will reject it or at least laugh at it. I think Jello hopes for nothing more.
