Los Infernos
The Outlaw b/w Beer Run 7" (Alternative Tentacles)

By: Jeb Branin

Yee-ha! Poke them doggies punk. This is crazy stuff. Take the thick driving punk of D.O.A. and incorporate tons of country rock then imagine if Lemmy had written the tunes and you get a hint of where LOS INFERNOS are coming from. Kind of makes me think that this is what (IMPATIENT) YOUTH would sound like if they were still around and were trying to rock out. Without a doubt one of the most appealing aspects of this record is that there just aren't many bands doing anything like this. It is cool to slap on a record and have it take you by surprise. It is great to want to listen to something over and over because it is different... and good. I don't want to forget to mention that this kicks. LOS INFERNOS aren't just appealing for their novelty, they are also a darn tootin' good listen. People who want everyone to sound the same are going to hate this.
