 In spite of the brilliant title and the vast improvement over her last release I still cannot find much that appeals on the new Valerie Morris CD. She has indulged in a lot more jazz this time around with some really quite striking moments of improvisation but for the most part her quirkiness and eclecticism is jolting and erratic more than clever or distinctive. Even the inclusion of great musicians and artists like Vivian Quinn Sayles and Steve Albini can't rescue this disc.
