Westworld Westworld (Spitfire Records) By: Geoff Melton
Fans of straightforward melodic rock should find plenty of satisfaction from Westworld's eponymous debut. Westworld was initially formed as a side project when TNT frontman Tony Harnell and Riot guitarist Mark Realle hooked up to do some songwriting, and was then rounded out by drummer John O'Reilly (Rainbow, BOC) and Danger Danger bassist Bruno Ravell once the songs were written. While not as heavy as Riot or as technical as TNT, Westworld is a well-crafted collection of passionate rockers that pushes their melodic side to the front.
