When you've got a band comprised of former members of The Exploited, Filth and The Lager Lads, you can be assured that you're not going to be hearing any "melodic punk". Strongly reminiscent of the aforementioned Exploited, War Cry, the sophomore effort from Canadian three-piece Tension is a modern take on old style UK punk driven by churning guitars, a tight rhythm section, and Jim G's raw, in-your-face vocals. War Cry is a welcome return to the pre-Offspring / Green Day world of punk.
