River City Rebels Racism, Religion, and War... (Victory Records) By: Alex Steininger
Political hardcore with an infusion of pop and bright horns, River City Rebels keep it fast and hard, but aren't afraid to make you clap and dance to their infectious '77 pogo-hardcore sound. Songs about "Hate", "Religion", "The System", and the United States in general, are the theme for this album appropriately titled "Racism, Religion, and War...". One more thing... this album has the best use of horns I've ever heard on a non-ska punk band. I'll give it a B+.
