Slowcoach New Strategies Are Necessary, This Is Not Solid Ground (Silver Girl Records) By: Alex Steininger

Heart-wrenching rock music with all of the emo characteristics: vocals that are not quite hardcore, but close enough to bloody screams of depression to count; guitars that just don't want to be quiet, but don't want to rock out, either; and lyrics that bring you in and make you cry with them. This is typical emo, yes. But unlike the watered-down emo bands out there that give emo a bad name, Slowcoach deliver the right mixture of pop-rock, hardcore, punk, and emotion to give emo a good name. Curl up in a ball and drop to the floor, because you will be feeling every note when you listen to this album. I'll give it a B.
