 TREPHINE play a scathing breed of neo-metalcore that relies on the massive riffs and brutal nature of extreme metal genres but counterpoises that with the attitude and delivery of hardcore. Obviously bands of this nature are going to be seen by many (myself included) as a by-product of the pandora's box opened by D.E.P. but I hope that isn't viewed as a negative by the reader's of the zine. In spite of having chosen to follow a trail only recently blazed through the underground, TREPHINE are a first rate band whose extreme and violent sound are cousin to all that you probably extol in music.
