Agalloch Of Stone, Wind and Pillar (The End Records) By: Jeb Branin
This MCD is a perfect segue between the last album "Pale Folklore" and what the future holds for AGALLOCH. Their introspective and emotive dark metal is rife with gothic influences but underscored by purely sick and demented black metal vocal screeches. Like their peers ALASTIS, OPETH, and MOONSPELL this is band whose appeal touches many bases but doesn't get too tied into any one musical aesthetic.
