Angels in the Architecture The Distance In Writing (Law of Inertia) By: Alex Steininger
Melody and rock go hand in hand on Angels in the Architecture's The Distance In Writing. A glowing, melodic record that is neither pop nor punk, nor pop-punk, but somehow manages to play with the intensity of any good punk band, keep things low-key and poppy, and deliver a sonically collective album. Some may call this emo, but the band manages to stray away from this tag as well, delving into dreamy soundscapes rather than bursts of depression or anger. A one-two punk of rock and pop will make this an easy choice to enjoy. I'll give it a B.
