Tom Lillo Blue Eyed Mystic (Insurrection Records) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Like a gusty, long drive down a scenic highway, Tom Lillo's Blue Eyed Mystic is a relaxing, mind-cleansing album that will let you sit back and enjoy it, not being too pushy, and yet fading into the background without notice. It is a back porch, rootsy pop record with a lot of down home rocking in its blood. A solid collection of well-written, nicely produced songs with enough beats to keep you listening while the very optimistic lyrics bring sunshine on the sound. I'll give it a B-.
