Brady Brock I Will Live In You Where Your Heart Used To Be (Feel Records) By: Alex Steininger
Brady Brock is a name to remember. I Will Live In You Where Your Heart Used To Be is a dark, melancholy pop record. As he puts it, there is "misery with the occasional happiness", which is an apt description of this album. With shaking melodies and his confused, struggling voice working to find comfort, a reason, or both, Brock holds you close, as to not be alone. Though, don't be frightened, because he manages to pull himself together. And offer you some damn fine music in the process, whether he is singing to you with just his guitar or strings and other instrumentation help flush out the pain, Brock always has something right there for you to grab onto and enjoy. One of the strongest, well-thought melancholy records I've heard in a long time. I'll give it an A.
