What Lies Ahead (WWIII Music)

 Somebody better check my underground credentials because SEVERANCE has been together since 1989 and I swear this is the first time I have ever heard them. I can only assume I have my head up where it doesn't belong or these guys have specialized in playing in their own basement. Either way they show their age a bit on "What Lies Ahead." The SEVERANCE breed of death metal is the thick and punishing kind that first marked the scene in the early 90s. Fans of bands like DISMEMBER are going to eat up the bottom heavy and skull cracking sound of this CD.
