Alpha & Omega (MMG)

 PENANCE take the best stoner rock, true doom and classic metal have to offer and intermix it with pure metallic passion to craft a distinct and powerful new album called "Alpha & Omega." Although they have yet to release anything less than impressive, this latest offering definitely shows the band moving in the right direction. I can't hlp but think the brilliant addition of bassist Mary Bielich (former MYTHIC) and guitarist Matt Tuite have something to do with that. Thanks to the amazing resurgence of doom/stoner/goth metal there is going to be a million great albums to choose from in the genre, you would be remiss to overlook this one.
