The Blood Brothers March On Electric Children (Three.One.G) By: Cam Lindsay
Anyone looking for a stimulant to keep you up all night please focus your attention to The Blood Brothers from Washington. After releasing a completely diabolical and destructive record in 2000 called This Adultery Is Ripe, this menacing five-piece is back, on a new record label, the very appropriate Three.One.G, out of San Diego. March On Electric Children is even more maniacal than its predecessor. The Blood Brothers' blend of intense hardcore and good time rock 'n' roll is quite scary, yet like a car crash, it's truly mesmerizing. The vocals of Jordan Billie and Johnny Whitney are frightening to hear, sounding like they're either being stabbed a thousand times or are stabbing somebody themselves. The subject matter of the songs isn't any prettier either. "New York Slave" contains lyrics that are too graphic for even an NC-17 rating, while the title track is messier than a Hellraiser sequel. Anyone who thinks that The Icarus Line are wimps or ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead are a bunch of art students, here is your new favourite band. A+
