DVD: Iron Maiden Rock in Rio (Columbia Music Video) By: Randy Harward

Granted, this isn't Maiden's classic lineup, the one you saw in Circus so many years back, but this two-hour performance (from the 2001 Rock in Rio festival) works well as a document of what Maiden does best, which is, in the immortal words of Reno, the mulleted metalhead stoner I so wanted to be in junior high, fuckin' rockin' and shit! Seeing Bruce Dickinson with short hair detracts just a bit. Special features on this two-disc set include official photographer Ross Halfin's gallery (with commentary), interviews with each band member (subtitled in five languages) and an entreating, yet brief, day-in-the-life feature. Presented in NTSC 4:3, 5.1 Dolby surround and DTS (concert only). Rated: Fuckin' A!
