Big Shot Confessions of A Campus Bookie (Fox) By: Randy Harward

Based on a true story. Very rarely does a film based on a true story make it to theaters. Know why? 'Cause most of 'em are turds. Really, they save that shit for network television or the Lifetime network for a reason: nobody really cares about a kid who got caught up in a point-shaving scam or another strung out coed who got her shit together and became a soccer mom/lawyer/caped crusader/talk show host. Big Shot, natch, is synopsized by the former. The star, David Krumholtz, is a buffoon; watching a Jewish kid affecting a Bronx accent with hip-hop affectations is utterly painful and moves one to ponder homicide. Anybody got his agent's number?
