Lanterna
Sands (Bad Man Recording Co.)

By: Alex Steininger

Like watching the sunrise in the wintertime, Lanterna's Sands is a bit gray and cold. The light creeps through the clouds, as the cold bites at your face. You don't care, however, because you are watching a new day rise. The instrumentals found conjure up the same feelings. At times the songs seem bleak and cold, detached from everything, living in its own imagination. But as the songs stroll on, sometimes never really changing that much, bringing an air of familiarity to the table, you grow relaxed and comforted by them. You begin indulging in their dreamy textures, the guitar the main focus, curling up next to you and giving you something to rest your head on. I'll give it a B.
