A fusion of jazz and house music, utilizing Bossa and Funk elements as well, Llorca's New Corner is a sexy, stylish concoction, a riveting hodgepodge of his two main influences, with enough other contributions to keep things lively. Though, sometimes the experimentation turns to the mundane as Llorca tries to save the songs from settling into an all-too-comfortable groove, sometimes backfiring and making the songs even that more uninteresting, while other times hitting his mark. Still, a talented DJ and artist, New Corner is nothing to scoff at and is perfect late-night fodder for those that want something to play in the background. I'll give it a B-.
