Absinthe Blind Rings (Mud/Parasol) By: Alex Steininger
Semi-lush, laid-back pop music reminiscent of both rainy nights and sunny mornings, the overcast styling of Absinthe Blind on Rings finds the band playing with textures, as they move from the distant to the open, reflecting and pondering, writing quaint songs that make you want to doze off. It's moody, but atmospheric, engaging, but a little mysterious. The songs feed off the listener just as you feed off them. I'll give it a B-.
