Down & Out with The Dolls Motion Picture Soundtrack (Whyte House Productions) By: Alex Steininger

The soundtrack to the motion picture Down & Out With The Dolls, features 12 tracks from some unknown and up-and-coming female-fronted rock outfits. Including The Bangs ("He's A Groupie"), Lo-Ball ("Rock Star"), and The Paper Dolls (the main focus of the movie and a fictional band?) written and produced by Zoe Poledouris (who also contributes a track to the soundtrack), this record has balls, without having balls. What you get here is plenty of femme fatale rock 'n' roll, punk-inspired, full-throttle guitar rock that proves women can rock more so than most male bands. I'll give it a B-.
