 Nasally, heart-string-pulling emo-rock, My Awesome Compilation's Every Souvenir Has A Story is, much like most run-of-the-mill emo bands, a record that grates on your nerves. The melodies are good, the hooks solid, and the songwriting developed. But the vocals, delivering with their whoa-is-me pretension, as they wear their hearts on their sleeve and aggressively point to that fact, just poke at you too much, before finally you say, "I can't take it!" and give up, running for the door. I'll give this a C-.
