The Sun Love & Death EP (Warner Bros. Records) By: Alex Steininger
Implementing a sense of new wave and plenty of pop into their garage rock sound, The Sun come at you with plenty of spirit on their Love & Death EP. It is a six-song collective of radio-friendly, but still music fan friendly rock songs that weave between quirky pop to all out garage power. Whether they're playing it loud and straight-ahead. Or taking you on a journey of carnival-punk, quirky pop, and/or new wave hooks. They always keep things cohesive enough to ensure you stay on track with them; and make things fun enough for you to smile throughout the duration of the disc as you crank it loud and anxiously await The Sun full-length. I'll give it a B.
