Magic Lunchbox

 Quirky, and not without its charms, the Australian-based Magic Lunchbox make a sweaty party record with Doin' Alright!, a four-song collection of soul, funk, vibe-y grooves, and plenty of junk rock. Cheesy synths, anything-but-suave vocals, and crazy rock beats give off the impression of tongue-in-cheek good times, and the party-centric lyrics give credence to that as well. Doin' Alright! is a fourteen minute dance record that will make you smile, even if you're not into it. I'll give it a C+.
