On their explosive debut, The Jet City Fix blends guitar-soaked, blistering modern rock with melodic pop-punk.
Play To Kill does just that. Ranging in texture from the straight-ahead blast of "Drowning", a hook-laden guitar-rock song that has the chops and spirit to captivate the minds of any radio listener or rock fan alike. Or a song like "Sick Of Drugs", which plays well with the pop-punk crowd, The Jet City Fix fit in perfectly with the radio - but offer more substance and style than their all flash counterparts. "Dumb Luck" also panders to the pop-punk crowd, while "Jet it's Rockin'" and "The Fix" are both dirty rock 'n' roll nuggets. If you like your rock in your face but contained enough to deliver tasty hooks and some juicy melodies, than this is your band. I'll give this a B+.
