Swords Project Entertainment Is Over If You Want It (Arena Rock Recording Co.) By: Alex Steininger

Caught up in a painter's swirl of ambiance, atmosphere, slumbering vibes, and airy melodies, Portland, Oregon's Swords Project's debut full-length, Entertainment Is Over If You Want It finds the band delivering a sonic collection of windy, almost evaporating rock songs. Based in the less-is-more aesthetic, the Swords Project release subtle guitars alongside a rhythm section that transforms itself from raindrops to hail, and back to raindrops again. Soothing to the last drop, the restful songs slumber, before waking up from a nap, making you shake a little, and going back down for some more ZZZZs. It's a fine release from a band capable of changing your perspective on damn near anything with their subconscious, mind altering substances known as their music. I'll give it a B.
