Melotron
Sternenstaub (Metropolis)

By: Mark A. Lawrence the IV

This is Melotron's fourth and best album to date, a full length album containing thirteen tracks. Opening the album is "Keien Problem," soon to be the first single off this CD. "Sterenstaub" is a well-crafted, club-ready album of synthpop mastery.

From start to finish, the infectious pulsing bass beats, the cascading electro-pop, synth-driven keyboards and programming layered with subtle classical instrumentation shall keep you moving. The lyrics are catchy, even if you don't speak German.

This CD is easy to listen to and has a addictive nature that will grow on you. One of my personal favorite tracks is "Folge Mir ins Licht"; a terrific song combining both male and female voices, creating a beautiful harmony between ethereal and synthpop.

Recommended for fans of L'?me Immortelle's ethereal elements, or strong male vocals layered with programing such as found in Covenant, and the synthpop dance elements of Iris.

RANKING: 4 out of a possible 5
