 The Philadelphia-based quartet known as The Bigger Lovers come back with their third full-length, This Affair Never Happened... And Here's Eleven Songs About It, a collection of bouncy, jangle-y, guitar-driven power-pop songs that, unlike other power-pop songs, contain more rock substance than sugar sweetness, but that doesn't mean they don't have their sugary touch. This is addictive, head-bobbin', good time power-pop with momentum and spirit, the kind of record that won't tire or grow old, because it has enough substance backing up the goodness to keep you listening. I'll give it a B.
