Polars (Loud Noise)

By: Jeb Branin

The fact that Polars is being (over) hyped by some as the "best Dutch album ever" shouldn't detract from what it really is; a solid slab of hardcore tinged metal. Borrowing heavily from the Victory Records sound, TEXTURES uses precision cheese-grater riffs and throat rupturing screaming to deliver a double-barreled blast of metalcore. Counterpoise is effectively intertwined with spurts of melody and clean vox. This is likely to leave on impact only slightly less jarring as a boot to the face, so while you spit your teeth out, enjoy.
