The Cliftons Sex, Drugs, and Alcohol (Super Speedway) By: Alex Steininger
In-your-face punk rock from an outfit that likes it reckless, sloppy, and fierce, Sex, Drugs, and Alcohol, the band's debut, is as much street cred as any punk band needs. They play punk with much venom and contempt, creating fast, balls-to-the-wall rock that doesn't give up one bit. Thumping bass crash against slamming drums, while the guitars blaze the path, with the vocalist's snarl leading the way. This is gut-wrenching, relentless punk that lives up to the word punk in every sense of the word. I'll give it a B.
