 Fusing soulful male vocals with sweet, serene female vocals, all backed up by rocksteady, reggae, and dancehall, Sacramento, California's six-piece outfit delivers music true to the Jamaican heritage for which is pays homage to. Rich, hearty, and danceable, the oceanic grooves wash over you like a warm ocean, the rhythm section providing the sand underneath your feet to make you get the full affect. With heart and passion, the Steady Ups keep it real and lively, two key things when delving into a music which such a tremendous history and trying to retain it - and adding your own. I'll give it a B-.
