Thorr's Hammer Dommedagsnatt (Southern Lord) By: Mike SOS

Thorr's Hammer is a re-issued disc featuring seminal stoner rockers Greg Anderson and Stephen O'Malley and the doomy dynamic duo's exploits in Washington in the winter of 1994-95. Four tracks of crusty creeping with a twist; a Norwegian female singer with fangs and a dastardly growl. Slow, churning riffs collide with mammoth rhythms and a bleak lyrical outlook sung only in Norwegian on this disc can only make someone wonder...what could be more melancholy than this? If you dig the morose and have a penchant for doom rock, you'll love Thorr's Hammer.
