The Greenhornes East Grand Blues EP (V2 Records) By: Alex Steininger
On their debut EP, East Grand Blues, promoted by a tour with The White Stripes, The Greenhornes deliver '60s AM pop spun around a love of garage rock. The result is an infectious, loud, guitar-heavy record that will make you want to sing along, shake your butt, and smile. It's rock 'n' roll to the core. It's simplistic and fun, but the melodies are big and bold, making this an instantly accessible record, and band, which even jaded hipsters will go, "damn!" too. I'll give it a B+.
