The Runs Wet Sounds (Urban Cheese Records) By: Alex Steininger

Playing off of The Beach Boys' classic Pet Sounds, The Runs' Wet Sounds comparisons stop at the artwork and album title. The Runs are not a pop band, nor an experimental act. Instead, they are straight-ahead, buzzing guitar-led garage-rock. This is to the point, no frills garage-rock dumbed down and amps turned up - perfect for those that like loud, fast music with a party vibe. Get drunk, slam dance, or just rock out to this because Wet Sounds is the "oh, oh, oh" punk-inspired party-rock record you want to just blast. I'll give it a B.
