Radiohead
OK Computer (Capitol Records)

By: [email protected]

Now Radiohead's OK Computer....though the hype was all there (in the UK at least), the music was not really of the same high calibre as The Bends. How could "No Surprises" compare with "Planet elex," "Bends," "High & Dry," "Fake Plastic Trees," "Street Spirit," or "My Iron Lung?" Not that a comparison of RH's previous achievements to this album should be the sole determination of how good the new RH sound is. I started to search for another reason and not long after found all I needed my other justification for not believing this album is the finest new age musical experience is also based on the fact that tracks like "Subterranean Homesick Alien (Uptight)," "Let Down," "Fitter," "Happier," and "Airbag" are just not good enough for a band of incredible talent like Radiohead, and the re-release of Lucky.

Highlights: Karma Police, Lucky.

Song you'd most likely want to kill yourself to: Exit Music (For a Film)

Overall rating: Definitely not my first choice for album of the month!
