Bluetip- Join Us b/w No.2 (Dischord) The first thing you'll notice about this seven inch is the minimalist design. Just a small strip of a sleeve that wraps around the record. The music? This is some of Bluetip's strongest material since their debut full length was released in '96 (also on Dischord). Join Us begins with some backwards effects and feedback then breaks into a swinging tom driven beat. The hook of this song is it's main guitar riff and Jason Farrell's country tinged singing. No. 2 is a mid tempo number that's more droney and darker sounding. Both songs are worth the $3.50 ppd from Dischord, and it's on nice blue vinyl! Bluetip is definitely the band to watch.
