 It is band's like this that make me proud to tell people I love heavy metal. WITCHERY is the soon to be legendary project of MERCYFUL FATE'S Sharlee D'Angelo and Patrik Jensen of THE HAUNTED. Take the pure metal of JUDAS PRIEST and mix it with the aggression of SLAYER and the dark vibe of black metal and you've got WITCHERY. Flawless production, stellar song writing, and blistering guitar work highlight the disc but certainly are not the only appeals. WITCHERY strikes a delicate balance between melody and crunch. They are at all times heavy and forceful but they never lose sight of the accessibility of the music which gives them a distinctive 'classic metal' feel in spite of being unquestionably cutting edge. Pure metal, pure mastery.
