The Best of Corpus Delecti (Cleopatra Records)

 There comes a time when a band reaches what they believe is the pentacle of their ability to create music, thus creating a greatest hits album accumulating the best music from over the years. Corpus Delecti has now evolved in to a European techno group therefore leaving their gothic creations in the dust. Cleopatra has gathered the remnants of this French gothic legend and produced "The Best of Corpus Delecti." This CD presents the best of the band's discography from "Sarabands", "Obsession," "Sylphes" and "Twilight." The more emotionally moving and renown tracks are "....of all desperations," "the Drift" and "Broken." Many Corpus Delecti fans are crushed by this odd turn of events but at least this CD can revive the nostalgia they once felt for the French gothic band.
