Ruido
Ruido 7" (Six Weeks)

By: Jeb Branin

This 7" is a nine song eruption of whirlwind thrash that aims for the throat and goes for the kill. The vocalist does larynx calisthenics as he screams and screeches his way through what appears to be politically charged lyrics (although without a lyric sheet I can't tell you that for sure). The music is tenacious and rips at breakneck speed from beginning to end with a dose of noise thrown in for good measure and distinction. It is very in-your-face, not in a testosterone youth crew kinda way, but in a relentlessly violent kinda way. It reminds me of the classic thrashing of FISHSTICKS in that regard. Even with nine songs the record is short and direct, just the way great thrash should be. A record worthy of your hard embezzled cash.
