Check Your People (Epitaph)

 What happened to Epitaph being a pop-punk label, releasing only NOFX clones and Bad Religion knock-offs? Here we have a hardcore band, Downset, which has been around for a long time. Yeah, so what? Sure, they've earned their reputation as one of the best, most consistent hardcore bands. Then why Check Your People? An album that has more in common with Rage Against the Machine or Limp Bizkit than with Sick of it All or any other staple hardcore act. Thus, it is my job to inform you that this album is nothing to get excited about. Matter of fact, it's nothing to get anything about. I'll give it a D.
