The Alarm Clocks
Yeah! (Norton Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Savage 1966 Ohio Garage Raunch, The Alarm Clocks' Yeah! is yet another release from Norton Records, the label known for their ability to re-issue and unleash material that has been lost in the vaults for decades. Wild, carefree, and rambunctious, The Alarm Clocks transcend garage rock, implementing R&B and, at times, soul in their search for the perfect rock 'n' roll anthem. And, believe it or not, they come darn close to rock 'n' roll perfection on choice cuts like "Yeah!", "Bald Headed Woman," "I'm A Fool," and "Louie Louie," one of the best rock 'n' roll songs of all time. I'll give this an A+.
