The Swords Project EP (Absolutely Kosher)

 A four-song EP lasting nearly thirty minutes. Something this long and drawn out, especially considering it's instrumental, usually would quickly find its way out of my CD player and into a dusty box never to be heard from again. But, when it's Portland, Oregon's The Swords Project doing it, than it is not only tolerable, but also beautiful. Picturesque songs that say more with music than most bands say with words, this eight-piece group orchestrates pretty, layered pop songs with spirit. I'll give this a B.
