 Strong-willed female roots-folk, Melissa Ferrick isn't afraid to express herself or her emotions, travelling back and forth between feelings of heartache and broken hearts to love and happiness, all through loneliness and wondering where exactly she is.Lyrically, Melissa Ferrick is a romantic, understanding that even though she keeps feeling loneliness, someone is going to come sweep her off her feet and she's going to fall in love. Musically, she is jaded, rough around the edges, and tired of the same old shit. Together, the combination is volatile, yet pulled off to perfection by a talented songwriter able to channel experiences and emotions into songs that will make you laugh, smile, cry, and ultimately relate to her. I'll give it a B+. 15
