Skiptrace (Train Wreck Music)

 Competent pop songs with a rocking side, Skiptrace's self-titled debut has the guitar engine and bouncy rhythm section to really hit you with gigantic portions of soaring pop. Unfortunately, they miss the aim here, mustering up enough energy to barely peak above lackluster. Recorded and produced by John Agnello and Bill Janovitz of Buffalo Tom, Skiptrace leaves a lot to be desired. I'll give this a C-. 15
