Son, Ambulance
Euphemystic (Saddle Creek)

By: Alex Steininger

The debut full-length from Son, Ambulance, Euphemystic is a bouncy, home spun-sounding lo-fi rocker, sure to drive indie purists and pop fanatics alike crazy. From the trembling, harmonious melodic burst that is "An Instant Birth" to the soothing, laid-back brush of "A Book Laid On It's Binding," through the Spanish-influenced shake of "Maria In Motion," Son, Ambulance injects lively, boiling emotion into loose, driving shreds of indie rock nuggets. This is as real and pure as it comes; Euphemystic is solid gold, from the songwriting to the vocal arrangements and melodic underbelly of every song. I'll give it an A.15
