 Fast, non-stop emo-charged punk rock, Brand New's debut full-length Your Favorite Weapon builds upon the generic pop-punk formula, adding grit where needed, and plenty of juice to thicken the songs up. Melodically driven, hook-laden, and full of songs about girls and growing up, Brand New is bound for next-big-thing land, because the kids will eat them up. With sugary sweet songs covered by loud rock, mall kids and punk rockers will both dig this. And that's the key to success. I'll give this a B.
