Thrice The Illusion of Safety (Sub City) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
The Illusion of Safety is a melodic burst of pop-punk-hardcore, giving them a boost over the standard pop-punk fare, but keeping things poppy and melodic enough to stray away from the hardcore tag. A catchy, hook-laden record with a lot going for it, the songs are glossy and easily digestible, with well-written lyrics, and plenty of sing-along choruses to bite into. I'll give it a B-.
