X-Rated Cowboys
Honor Among Thieves (X-Rated Cowboys)

By: Alex Steininger

Opening with a folk-country rocker by the name of "Trans Am", the X-Rated Cowboys start things off slow, using track two, "Rear View Mirrow", to help pick up the pace, before launching into "End of the World". The latter track is fueled by the alt-country that the X-Rated Cowboys are all about. However, not limited to alt-country songs, the band writes tender ballads, soft country songs, and all-out rockers, turning themselves into the crying-in-your-beer rock outfit that has a grip on country, knows how to rock, and has enough style and grace to blend the two, without losing anything in the process. And their softer songs, they speak right to your heart. I'll give this a B+.
