 5 Alive! is this Richmond, Virginia-based act's first live album, a two-disc set of their Celtic-roots-rock hybrid. Flaws, flubbers, and all, the band comes off as a live act, more comfortable on stage than in the studio, playing with a lot of spirit, giving each song a big smile and making it fun as they spin from one track to the next. The audience's enthusiasm further feeds them more as they share tales and music with what seems like their friends. I'll give it a C+.
